The University offers a pervasive, enterprise-level Wi-Fi network integrated with a scalable, modular, and secure wired infrastructure.
Politecnico offers two Wi-Fi networks:
- polito: network accessible using your institutional credentials
- eduroam: network of the Eduroam (Education Roaming) project, allowing federated access using your home institution's credentials
Politecnico di Torino participates in the Eduroam project as both an Identity Provider—offering staff, researchers, teaching faculty, and students easy and secure network access—and as a Resource Provider, enabling accredited guests from federated external institutions to use Politecnico’s Wi-Fi. Eduroam is the service that allows guests visiting federated organizations to access the local wireless network simply and securely using their own institution's credentials.
