How to activate Microsoft 365

Within the CRUI agreement, the Politecnico di Torino allows all staff members to use the Office 365 suite.

Through an email account within the @polito.it domains, the agreement enables users to independently download and install the latest version of the Microsoft Office package and other apps, including OneDrive with its associated cloud storage space.

  1. Visit the Microsoft 365 Copilot site.
  2. Click “Sign in” and enter your institutional email in the format name.surname@polito.it.
  3. You will be redirected to the authentication site idp.polito.it. Complete the login using your institutional credentials.
  4. Browse the Microsoft 365 web apps: from the site you can access the online versions of the provided apps.
  5. Click the “Install apps” button to download the desktop/mobile apps for your device and operating system.
  6. After installing the apps on your device, activate them by signing in with your Politecnico credentials

 

Access to OFFICE 365 is limited to employees officially hired by the POLITECNICO DI TORINO. Once this status expires, access to OFFICE 365 WILL NO LONGER BE POSSIBLE, even if you still have a University email account. It is necessary to BACK UP YOUR DATA before the account is deactivated.

Microsoft 365 can be used on all operating systems, both Windows and MacOS; an Internet connection is required for downloading, installing, and updating the various apps, as well as for synchronizing files on OneDrive. The web version can be used on all modern browsers, including IE11, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari. Office 365 can also be used on mobile devices (Apple, Android, Windows).
