Laboratories, Workplace & Collaboration

We design, develop, and manage the main hardware and software services supporting workstations (both fixed and mobile, physical or virtual), ensuring secure and always-available digital tools for teaching, research, and daily work at the University.

We administer the entire Microsoft infrastructure, including on-premise and cloud resources, and ensure the availability of individual productivity and specialized applications for research and teaching in the laboratories. Finally, we oversee the negotiation and management of software agreements at the campus level.

The Staff

  • Administration and evolution of Windows Enterprise systems and cloud services based on Microsoft 365 (Email, File Sharing, Active Directory, Azure).
  • Automation of administrative procedures for the Microsoft infrastructure.
  • Management and development of platforms for physical (LAIB) and virtual (vLAIB) computer labs.
  • Coordination and management of centralized software licenses across the University.
  • Management of hardware and software IT equipment for PTAB staff, primarily for Central Administration.
  • In collaboration with other Directorates, management of workstations in libraries, CLA, classrooms, and IT systems supporting technological facilities.
  • Experimentation, development, and promotion of collaboration services for University users, including support for training initiatives.
  • IT support for institutional events.
  • Second-level IT support integrated with the Service Desk, and project consulting for other University units (Directorates/Departments).

  • Email: Administration of personal mailboxes, shared mailboxes, and distribution lists.
  • Workstation Management (PDL): Provisioning and maintenance of PTAB staff workstations (hardware and software).
  • DHCP: Automatic configuration of network settings.
  • File Sharing: On-premise and cloud file sharing services for personal or collaborative use.
  • Teams: Creation and management of collaborative and project teams on the Microsoft platform.
  • Short-term Laptop Loan: Support for occasional activities and events.
  • LAIB/vLAIB Management: Hardware and software configuration for physical and virtual computer labs.
  • Printing Service: Reserved for teaching activities.
  • Campus Software: Distribution and management of centralized software licenses for teaching, research, and other institutional areas.
  • Second-Level Help Desk: Specialized support on topics within the Service’s scope.
