Printing and plotting service

The LAIBs are equipped with printing peripherals that are periodically updated to provide a comprehensive, state-of-the-art service to meet the educational needs of the student community.

Equipment includes:

A3/A4 printers, black & white and color
Laser and inkjet technologies
Inkjet plotters for large formats (from A0 to A4)
3D printers

Configurations may vary slightly from laboratory to laboratory, based on the primary requirements of institutional teaching.

Come usufruire del servizio

In the IT laboratories (LAIB), black-and-white and color printers, as well as large-format plotters, operate through a print credit system. These credits cannot be purchased directly by students; instead, they are allocated through the Teaching Portal by course instructors or thesis supervisors based on academic needs.

The credits received allow printing in various formats (A4, A3) and plotting (from A2 up to A0). The maximum number of credits that can be granted varies depending on the degree program and the activity (Engineering, Architecture, or Thesis).

A4/A3 Prints

These can be printed for your academic documents on B/W printers without requiring prior credit allocation by teaching staff.

Color prints and plotting

The use of color printers and plotters (for formats larger than A3) is subject to prior credit allocation by teaching staff or thesis supervisors through the Teaching Portal.

Stampe 3D

To access the 3D printing service in the LAIBs, you must book a 90-minute slot in advance by sending an email request to 3dprint@polito.it, specifying your preferred date and time by 5:30 PM.

Conditions

Printers may be used exclusively for printing original material directly produced by students as part of their academic coursework, such as essays, reports, or assignments.

Printing slides, lecture notes, articles, or any other course content provided by instructors is strictly prohibited.
