The service allows research staff at Politecnico di Torino to request software licenses and digital services under conditions defined by the University. Applicants can submit requests for themselves and their collaborators, such as PhD students, research fellows, postdocs and students involved in research activities.
The costs of requested licenses are charged to the applicant, according to the conditions applicable to each service.
Purchase procedure
Requests can be submitted through the online service Software license requests for faculty and researchers (authentication required), available on MyPoli/IT Services.
The submission windows for new requests are open twice a year:
- in September
- in March
Renewal and termination
All purchased licenses share a common expiry date of 30 September each year, regardless of when they were activated.
Active licenses are automatically renewed for the following year, unless the applicant explicitly opts out of renewal through the License Request service (authentication required). A license for which non-renewal has been requested will remain active until it is deactivated on 15 October.
Applicants can access the service to:
- view requested licenses
- request new licenses
- opt out of renewal for one or more licenses
Note: licenses held by users who no longer have an active role or affiliation with the University will be automatically terminated at the end of the validity period.
